The TIF Commission is established by the Board of Aldermen and consists of representatives from all taxing districts within the redevelopment area, including: six citizens of the City of Peculiar (appointed by the Board of Aldermen), two representatives appointed by the Raymore-Peculiar School Board, two representatives appointed by the Cass County Commission and one representative from the West Peculiar Fire Protection District.
The TIF Commission holds an annual meeting in March of each year. Regular Meetings and Special Meetings are scheduled, (with Public Notice) when the Commission has business to address - all meetings are open to the public. Representatives from the School Board, Cass County and WPFPD will be appointed once a TIF application is received
